Words From Vosto : Since I was a little kid I was in love with the great sounds of the 80s as I was listening to my dad's DJ sets . The 80s was a time of revolution in my country ( Romania ) and listening to western capitalist music was outlawed . The only way you could listen to the epic synthesizer masters was to have access to a music dealer which had connections to european radio station called Radio Free Europe . This station was assembled to transmit the epic music of the 80s to the rebelious youth within communist countries . Despite the authorities trying to jam the radio frequencies people still managed to listen to it but with a slight white noise . Not only did they broadcast into the air waves but also they organised underground ways of smuggling music through our borders . Copies of reel to reel tapes were sent each month and so the freshest sounds ended up being sold by dealers found in each romanian big city . Being a music dealer was very dangerous as any moment romanian security could arrest you so these people became heroes for freedom lovers . These tapes along with the jammed radio shows provided evidence that a better world was outside the communist borders .In a way 80s music was a big catalyst for what became a very succesful revolution . So I carry the spirit of the 80s with me and I really like this current of retro/synth wave that has emerged in recent times and thus I decided to join it . I am really glad to release my first retro wave album with Future City Records as I think they are are really solid record label with a clear and well designed image . In fact the first compilations I listened from the genre where from Future City Records . In this album you will find not only classic 80s synth sounds but also modern sounds and dark industrial elements . The overall aesthetic of this release is that of exploring a fictional world based in the core of retro wave design . From interplanetary travel to riding in the night through the neon cities this EP will take you on a journey never before seen ( as they said in the old sci-fi movie trailers ) . It is best to leave the interpretations to the listeners . Happy Ascultation ! Tracklist : 1. Vosto - Simulation Enterprise 2. Vosto - Plasma Groove 3. Vosto - From Tah Stars Of Moro?an 4. Vosto - Nightcycle 5. Vosto - Running Man The gear used for this EP was Ableton Live Software with my favorite vst's such as Serum , Massive for synthesizer creation and effects like vallhala reverb or Fabfilter Pro-q 2 for advanced eq-ing . The hardware used was a novation Launchkey 49 controller . Links : Soundcloud : https://soundcloud.com/vost0 Personal Radio : https://rekt.network/
